Hosting A Blood Drive Is As Easy As 1-2-3:
- Select a date.
- Reserve an indoor space at least 20’ x 20’ or use our blood mobiles.
- Spread the word.
We provide staff, medical supplies, advertising material, and refreshments including snacks and juice. Each donor will be given a token of appreciation for his or her donation.
Alternatively, individual donors and groups may choose to donate at the USC Blood Donor Center. At the Donor Center, we can accommodate a single donor as well as large groups of donors done over the course of several weeks. Our fixed sites eliminate the need to reserve a space for your blood drive and our coordinator takes care of the appointments. The Donor Centers are located near the USC hospitals and across the street from USC University in University Village and offer convenient hours for donors.
The entire process takes about 1 hour; however, the actual blood donation takes only about 10 minutes.
Host A Blood Drive In Tribute Of A Loved One
By donating blood to replenish units used by a particular patient, donors are helping to ensure an adequate supply of blood for other patients. The donation does not require that donors have the same blood type as the patient. It only requires that the donor meets the established criteria for donation.
